Goal
Our forestry practices should constantly evolve and improve as we
learn from new experiences. This is what "adaptive management"
is all about - constant learning, flexibility, and doing what is right
on the job, every day, to maintain healthy forests and wildlife habitat.
The
Forest Stewardship Recognition Program thanks people for their good
work in our forests and ensures that we all learn from their efforts
to keep Canada's forests and wildlife populations healthy and secure.
The program promotes awareness and
appreciation of good stewardship, sustainable forest practices and
forest biodiversity conservation efforts across Canada. People,
and organizations who have made outstanding contributions in these
areas will be recognized.
