Objectives

1. Identify leaders and reward individuals, organizations and municipal governments that have protected and enhanced wildlife habitat in urban areas.
2. Encourage emulation amongst Canadians by disseminating information and guidance on means to protect and enhance urban wildlife habitats
3. Build the capacity of individuals and organizations in Ontario to:
• Engage and recognize volunteers effectively;
• Create and sustain innovative greening projects; and
• Work collaboratively with other groups and agencies as part of a country-wide urban stewardship movement.
