Goals and Objectives
To conserve this degraded dyked in 171 acre wetland habitat, investigate rehabilitation actions, map and begin controlling invasive plant species, and involve youth and community members within educational outings and mentoring programs and educate the Walpole Island community to foster awareness of wetland conservation issues and hunting ethics.Specific Habitat Products/Results to be Supported by WHC’s Contributions
1) The conservation of a 171 acre wetland habitat that is part of the Walpole Island First Nation (WIFN), through a 10 year conservation leasing arrangement;Benefits to Waterfowl, Wetlands-Associated Species, and/or Other Wildlife
