Wood Duck - Spring Mist by Michael Dumas (1990)
About the Artist
Michael Dumas was born in Whitney, Ontario, on the eastern edge of Algonquin Park, an ideal location to develop his interest in art and the outdoors. In 1975, he began painting full-time and hasn't looked back. "Ducks hold a special attraction for me", says Michael Dumas, "Not only because of their distinctive colouring but more importantly because they live in marshes which are such important habitat for a whole range of wildlife."About the Painting
"Spring Mist was conceived from personal observation and it was my intent to not only show a beautiful species in a creative manner, but to show its relationship to an appropriate environment."- Michael Dumas
